The Department of Psychiatry at South Oaks Hospital is seeking a full-time inpatient psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and direct care for our busy unit at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, NY. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory, and interpersonal skills who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. Ideal candidates also possess a skillset appropriate for the management of acute psychiatric patients with attention to service excellence.
Candidate must be BC/BE in Psychiatry, with ACGME approved residency training, and eligible for a NYS medical license. Excellent communication skills required. Experience preferred but new graduates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills are encouraged to apply.
South Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border on Long Island.
