Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Geriatric Medicine physician to join our team in western Massachusetts.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Join the integrated Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine which consists of 6 physicians and 8 advanced practitioners at the first age-friendly health system in the U.S., as recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
  • As the Medical Director of Inpatient Geriatrics, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to grow and develop the inpatient geriatric program at Baystate Medical Center, a 700+ bed academic medical center in Springfield, MA.
  • See a wide variety of cases and patient types on our consults-only inpatient service; the ideal candidate also has an interest in geriatric trauma surgery consults. Leadership is committed to your professional satisfaction and work/life balance – no call, nights, or weekends. 
  • Enjoy a combination of clinical care & teaching with a faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. Clinical research and QI/safety projects are available and encouraged.  In addition to geriatric fellows, you will have the opportunity to teach residents, medical students, and other learners.

Qualifications:  ABMS BC/BE in Geriatric Medicine and a strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning.
