Inpatient Rheumatology Job Opportunity in Dallas, Texas

Inpatient Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish and participate in an inpatient rheumatology consultation service.

Work with Baylor Scott and White leaders to establish standard order sets and protocols to standardize endocrinology care across the System.

Participate in rheumatology teaching efforts for graduate and undergraduate medical education programs.

Participate in education of the Hospital’s nursing staff in provision of care for rheumatology patients.

Participate in education for the Hospital’s Medical Staff in the area of rheumatology.

Participate in rheumatology research as applicable.

Assist in recruitment for physician and APP providers for the Hospital’s diabetes service and the division of rheumatology.

Work with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation teams to organize the rheumatology related aspects of the EHR.

Perform such other reasonable duties or special requests as may from time to time be requested by the Hospital.

Qualifications

Doctorate Degree in Medicine

Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board

Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
