Neurocritical Care - Intensivist Opportunity
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurocritical Care physician to join a hospital-based practice located in Boise, Idaho.
Join a team of 4 Neurointensivists in a new, state-of-the-art 18-bed Neuro, Trauma, Surgical ICU and 17-bed dual-acuity licensed Neuro step down unit. This unit includes 6 beds with continuous EEG monitoring, plus a portable CT scanner. Enjoy a collaborative relationship with multidisciplinary colleagues including daily rounds with Neurosurgery & Trauma, inpatient pharmacy & social work, dieticians, nursing and other care partners.
Schedule: 7 on/7 off, with an equitable mix of nights and days split between 4 physicians, 183 shifts per year
SAMG is a 500+ provider multispecialty group practice with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. This new, exciting, variable-acuity Neuro and Trauma ICU position provides services for a full spectrum of complex, critically ill patients at the tertiary Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) in Boise. SARMC is the principal provider of advanced, innovative, and interdisciplinary neurocritical care services within the region as part of a Level II ACS designated Trauma center and a designated TSE Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Requirements include Neurocritical Care fellowship training with a sincere desire to practice in a high acuity ICU setting, managing complex, critically ill neurological inpatients and fostering a collaborative relationship with other intensivists both pulmonary and surgical critical care. Immediate intermittent robotic telemedicine consultation to our other SAHS hospitals for inpatient support and ultimate growth opportunity to fully support our hub-and-spoke telestroke program.
Requirements of this opportunity include:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program in one of the following specialties: Neurology, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, Anesthesia, or Emergency Medicine; Neurology residency preferred
Successful completion of an accredited Neurocritical Care fellowship program.
Obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC- Boise and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed
Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
