Northwell Health’s Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team at Phelps Counseling Services. We are recruiting a highly motivated Practitioner who has outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Leadership and part-time opportunities are also available for the qualified Candidate.

Phelps Counseling Services provides mental health treatment services to both English and Spanish-speaking adults. Treatment includes assessment, evaluation, psychiatric services, group and individual psychotherapy, couples and family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services. Services are rendered by Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and Social Workers.

Phelps Hospital is a 238-bed community hospital situated on a scenic 70-acre campus along the Hudson River in Sleepy Hollow, NY, just 40 minutes to NYC. Phelps offers one of the broadest ranges of community hospital services in Westchester. Patients benefit from distinguished physicians, many of whom are pioneers in their field, offering the most advanced procedures using the latest technology. Phelps has an OMH-licensed 22-bed inpatient psychiatric unit as well as an OASAS-licensed 20-bed inpatient chemical dependence rehabilitation unit. There is an OMH-licensed outpatient Clinic as well as a Continuing Day Treatment Program. An OASAS-licensed outpatient chemical dependence unit which provides Day Rehabilitation as well as Clinic level services is co-located at the OMH Clinic site. Phelps also has a Care Management program which supports our patients.
