UHealth Premier Concierge Medicine Physician Job Description
Practice location: Desai Sethi Medical Center
UHealth Premier Concierge Medicine is looking for a qualified internal medicine physician to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a current American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and at least 10 years of experience in ambulatory care, preferably in an executive health, concierge medicine, or general internal medicine setting.
The physician will report to the Director of Executive Health & Concierge Medicine and will be available to patients 24/7, 365, via telephone and digital media. The physician will also be on call on weekends, which may be shared with other physicians in the practice. Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills and prompt responsiveness. They will be compassionate, team-oriented, adaptable, and professional. They will be willing to innovate and create new ways to improve patient care.
The physician's responsibilities will include direct patient care in an office setting, courtesy rounds for patients in local hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, home health visits for homebound patients, and participation in community events as UHealth ambassadors. They will also be responsible for care coordination and facilitation, as well as proper documentation of patient encounters in EPIC. Prompt communication of results via telephone, electronic messaging, and/or letters is a top priority.
In order to deliver high-quality care to patients, the physician will also need to effectively communicate and work with the clinical and non-clinical staff members of the Executive Health/Concierge Medicine team throughout the enterprise.
