Our ENT department currently consists of 12 faculty members. We have an immediate need for a Neurotologist to practice the full breadth of the specialty in an academic setting. We have a Neurotologist who has gone part-time and will be retiring later this year. In addition to clinical care, we run a competitive residency program, training 3 residents per year, adding to educational and research opportunities for career development. We are looking for any rank assistant/associate/full professor and would consider other leadership roles for those who qualify.

Upstate Otolaryngology in partnership with Upstate Neurosurgery run a skull base program and treat approximately 50 tumors a year with surgery or gamma knife. We have a department-owned temporal bone labaratory that can be used for courses and resident education. Some research funding is available through an endowment for hearing research for those interested.

The Greater Syracuse Area, with a population of approximately 500,000, is near the Finger Lakes, the Adirondack Mountains, and cities including New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, and Toronto. Micron Technologies is expanding into our region with a hundred-billion-dollar expansion and estimated population growth of 200,000. The Central New York Region is growing, but housing remains quite affordable and the schools are excellent. SUNY Upstate Medical University is the largest employer in Syracuse region and ranks as a top 35 nationwide employer on Forbes List.
