Join a busy group of 7 OBGYN physicians, 12 CNMs, 1 RN, 2 WHNP, and 2 LCSWs in private practice in a DC suburb. They are looking to hire additional generalist physicians for their practice which has offices in MD between DC and Baltimore. Physicians do not rotate thru all offices and tend to deliver patients at the hospital closest to where they are working.
They are part of a larger Multi-Specialty practice that has OBGYN, GYN, Primary Care, Anesthesia, and Pain management services, and being part of this larger group helps with better malpractice rates and reimbursements, in addition to offering more services in-house for patients. The new hire will be based in Montgomery County and work out of Shady Grove Adventist in Rockville, a community-based hospital with a level III nursery and all services in-house including Laborist coverage. The entire practice provides some coverage for the other hospital they cover, Frederick Memorial in Frederick, but this is very infrequently and this hospital also has in-house Laborist coverage.
This well-established group offers mentoring, low to high-risk OB, lots of MIS and Robotics exposure, and easy access to DC and Baltimore. They are a young and very progressive group who are focused on providing quality patient care in a community setting and their collaborative physician/CNM environment allows their patients to choose between a CNM or MD delivery. The group does about 120 deliveries per month and 50/50 OB/GYN ratio. The doctors have a wide range of interests, age, and gender mix. They have a good mix of patients as well and have all equipment (including EMR) in their beautiful state-of-the-art offices. They scrub together and mentor, if necessary and meet to discuss and review complicated cases. Salary is highly competitive, they offer full benefits and they also offer productivity bonus incentives that can add to income.
They are a very well-respected group and are looking for good people to join their team. They are also looking for a hospitalist who would be interested in covering their practice only (they have 3 right now) or would consider a candidate interested in a combination of Generalist and Laborist OR new hire can pick up an occasional Laborist shift to add to income.
