Jefferson Health is currently accepting applications for an Occupational Medicine Physician in the Philadelphia area to join our Jefferson Occupational Health Network (JOHN). The physician in this full-time permanent position will provide services to employees of Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and related practices.

This role involves pre-placement and return to work examinations, Medical Review Officer (MRO) reviews, occupational health injuries (Workers' Comp), occasional minor urgent care, and employee special health evaluations. It includes collaborative agreements with Advanced Practice Professionals (CRNPs and PA-Cs) in Occupational Medicine, and availability for complex clinical questions.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. Office setting, 7:30am-4:30 pm. Primarily at the Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia location with occasional presence at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery.

No call, no nights, weekends, or holiday hours. Medium-volume practice. Excellent benefits package to include retirement benefits, FSA, and CME allowance.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • BC/BE in a primary care specialty with occupational medicine experience, or BC/BE in Occupational Medicine (preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in an occupational medicine setting or completed an occupational medicine residency
  • Workers' Compensation experience a plus
  • Medical Review Officer Certification (MRO) or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
